Description

The distribution net (LITE‑NET TREE) absorbs the water coming from the irrigation bag at the surface, directs it straight to the roots, and stores it there. Prolonged surface wetness—and thus mold formation under the water bag—is reduced.

Water is used very efficiently, as less evaporates at the surface and instead spreads widely through the fleece net toward the roots, rather than bypassing them. Additionally, the distribution net also channels rainwater—even from light showers—to deeper roots. When roots draw water from the fleece net, surface suction also pulls air toward the roots.

LITE‑NET Tree is a voluminous water‑storage fleece in net form, easily wrapped around the root ball. It’s designed to aid establishment, lasts 5–10 years, and is 100 % biodegradable. Roots can effortlessly grow through the net openings.

With combination Kombi 2, a second distribution net is placed horizontally directly beneath the root ball. This allows capillary distribution and storage of water in depth and breadth. It promotes root depth growth and increases stability. Tree net 100 % BIODEGRADABLE!

Installation instructions

  1. Place root ball on the net. Wrap the net around the ball.

  2. Set the tree in the hole.

  3. Fill the hole, open the net’s top, and cover it.

  4. Mount the irrigation bag.

Technical data

  • IRRIGATION BAG: 75 L capacity; 400 g/m² weather‑resistant PVC with net fabric. Two holes at the bottom for drainage. Includes zipper and attachments.

  • LITE‑NET Tree: Pre‑assembled drainage net (approx. 1.5 × 0.8 m) for large‑area underground water and air supply to root balls. Made from 100 % biodegradable/compostable PLA needle fleece (approx. 70 % PLA + 30 % cellulose; ca. 500 g/m²; thickness about 6 mm; pore share = water storage approx. 90 %; decomposition time approx. 5–10 years).
