In order to prove the effect of Lite-Drains extensive laboratory and field studies were carried out by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU). The results are impressive:

+ After 24 hours Lite-Net retains 6 times more water than coir mats
+ The growth factor of Lite-Net is 50% higher than that of coir mats
+ Lite-Strips mixed into the soil stores 8 times more water per kg than expanded clay beads (LECA)
