Most damage to trees occurs at construction sites. Although the protection of trees is required by numerous laws and standards, roots are repeatedly torn off and damaged by construction vehicles. The consequential damage is enormous and can lead from the death to the fall of the tree.
With the new type of root protection bandage, tree roots exposed at construction sites are not only protected from the sun and damage, but also kept permanently moist. The bandage stores water many times better than conventional construction site fleeces or jute mats. Since the LITE-ROOTPROTECT is 100% biodegradable, it is simply poured over at the end of the construction site.
The approx. 4 mm thick LITE-ROOTPROTECT as a root protection bandage in roll form is approx. 10 cm wide and consists of a 100% biodegradable water storage nonwoven made of cellulose threads. It is simply wrapped around the exposed roots and moistened.
The wider LITE-ROOTPROTECT M and L in 80 and 120 cm width, respectively, can be optimally used as a root curtain. In conjunction with our fleece-covered drip irrigation hose on the upper edge, moisture can also be maintained automatically (see photos below).
