The pre-assembled LITE-NET tree is available in 2 sizes and 3 materials, either durable, 100% biodegradable or compostable with a thickness of about 6 mm.

As vegetation nets, they are wrapped around root balls. They suck water into their voluminous structure at the surface and conduct it efficiently and extensively to the roots like veins. When these remove the stored water as required, air is sucked in from the surface. Thus, they simply & cost-effectively replace the previously common pipe systems without buckling, clogging and stack effect. According to Dutch studies, the use of vegetation nets also increases soil moisture by about 50 %. Because of the flexible net shape, roots can grow through it without any problems.

Because of their effectiveness, vegetation nets are also the ideal underground system supplement to irrigation bags and watering edges. They reduce water consumption considerably by transporting water directly to the tree roots without evaporation. Watering intervals are significantly extended.

The very flexible LITE-NET tree L with approx. 1.5 x 0.8 m is used as a vegetation net for root balls up to max. 60/65 cm in diameter. The larger LITE-NET tree XL version with approx. 1.75 x 1.6 m is used for root balls from approx. Ø60 cm.

The XL version can also be used as a horizontal distribution net directly under the root ball. It conducts air & water capillary to the width and serves as additional reservoir. This improves root growth in depth and increases the stability of the tree. For new plantings we therefore recommend a combination of growing net with distribution net for trees.

LITE-NET tree can of course also be used for other applications such as raised planting beds, vegetable beds or large plant troughs.
